Introducing AI Summaries

[Houston, 05.20.2025] — Open Horizons is proud to announce its latest feature: AI summaries. Here at Open Horizons, we recognize the need for innovative learning strategies to compliment today’s emerging technologies and academic demands. By launching AI summaries, we hope to offer a tool that’s user-friendly, convenient, and educational.  

How do AI summaries work? As the name suggests, AI summaries are succinct overviews of Open Horizons materials (ex. articles, lessons, videos) that are generated by artificial intelligence. The Open Horizons team understands that when it comes to learning, less is more a lot of times. Sometimes learning and processing pages upon pages of learning materials can be time-consuming and daunting. A short summary can greatly streamline the knowledge acquisition process. It can also offer a starting point where learners are able to grasp fundamental concepts in a comprehensible way before branching out to more complex, supplementary topics.  

They can also be a great study resource! Let’s say you have a math exam coming up and you have to revise several different topics. We’ve all been in situations where it feels we have too many things to revise for in too short of a timeframe. AI summaries can help you overcome these challenges. Instead of spending time scrolling through extensive learning materials (some of which you might not even need), creating study resources, and re-learning units, you can rely on an AI tool to generate quick, simple summaries.
